Job Title: Marine Systems Technician (Towing Winch & Cargo Control Systems)

About: We are seeking a skilled Marine Systems Technician to join our team for a critical project involving the diagnostics, repair, and optimization of towing winch and cargo control systems onboard vessels. If you have expertise in hydraulic, electrical, and PLC-controlled marine systems, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Diagnostics: Conduct thorough checks using multimeters, PLC analyzers, and hydraulic testers to identify faults in winch and cargo systems.
  • Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and resolve issues in motor drives, hydraulic power units, sensors, and control panels. Debug PLC/HMI logic to restore functionality.
  • Calibration & Optimization: Recalibrate motor torque, brake pressures, and hydraulic flow rates. Fine-tune cargo systems for safe loading/unloading operations.
  • Testing & Reporting: Perform load tests, validate safety interlocks, and compile detailed reports with test results and improvement recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in marine/offshore systems, specifically with hydraulic, electrical, and
    PLC/HMI systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
  • Proficiency in diagnostic tools (multimeters, hydraulic flow testers) and interpreting technical schematics.
    Strong troubleshooting skills for motor drives, valves, sensors, and control loops.
  • Knowledge of marine safety standards (ISM, SOLAS) and certification in electrical/hydraulic systems (preferred).
  • Ability to work independently, travel as needed, and deliver clear technical documentation.
